Dressage Teams Announced for 2025 FEI North American Youth Championships
Lexington, KY (July 11, 2025) - The United States Dressage Federation™ (USDF) is pleased to announce the riders that will represent the United States in the 2025 Discover Dressage/FEI North American Youth Dressage Championships presented by USDF, held during the FEI North American Youth Championships (NAYC). The competition will be held July 29-August 3, at Great Lakes Equestrian Festival (GLEF), in Traverse City, MI. The NAYC is the premier equestrian competition in North America for children (ages 12-14), juniors (ages 14-18), young riders (ages 16-21), and U25 (ages 16-25). Young equestrians vie for team and individual medals in the Olympic equestrian disciplines of show jumping and dressage. The competition is run under the rules of the FEI (Federation Equestre Internationale), the international governing body for equestrian sport, and is the only FEI championship held annually on this continent.
When discussing this year’s event, USDF FEI Youth Committee Chair Roberta Williams had this to say, “This year we will be introducing the new FEI Children's Division which has been a long-time goal for all of us involved in NAYC and is the culmination of many years of coordinated effort between the USDF and USEF. This would not be possible without the expert support of Thomas Baur and his team of FEI show organizers and Morrissey Management Group in Traverse City. This addition will give these young athletes the opportunity not only to compete in the atmosphere of an international competition, but to more importantly observe and learn about the sportsmanship that goes along with international competition from the older athletes.”
